We are an out-of-network practice. This allows us to offer longer, private sessions focused on outcomes rather than insurance limitations. Many patients use out-of-network benefits with superbills.
We recognize that cost can be a barrier for some people. A small number of reduced-fee spots are available on a limited basis. Please reach out to discuss whether this may be an option for you.
It depends on your specific condition and how long your symptoms have been present. Longer-standing issues usually require more time. You’ll receive a personalized plan at the end of your initial visit. Some people choose just one session to gain clarity and a roadmap to follow on their own, while others prefer multiple visits for guidance, feedback, and accountability.
In most cases, yes. Physical therapy is typically considered an eligible medical expense, so HSA or FSA funds can often be used to pay for your visits. We recommend checking with your plan administrator to confirm your specific coverage. A detailed receipt or superbill can be provided upon request.
We start with a thorough discussion of your issues. Then a physical assessment will look for things like breathing patterns, joint mobility, muscle strength, and coordinated movements. Treatment of tender points and dysfunctional patterns are often initiated during the assessment. You'll leave with an exercise and behavior change plan to start implementing right away.
I work with your comfort level. While seeing and feeling areas of concern gives me more insight, a lot can be accomplished even with minimal exposure and palpation. Nudity and internal examination are not mandatory.
Initial visits are 75 minutes, but may go a little overtime if needed (at no extra charge). Follow up visits are 60 minutes.
In New York State, you can see a physical therapist without a referral for up to 10 visits or 30 days. If additional care is needed beyond that, a referral may be required.
